Montage Research
For our latest project our task we had to produce either a handmade book or a still frame video which was consisting of photos. Our task was to cover the theme of reinvent. We had recreated something that may of already happen. My research will consist of looking at books, internet sources E.G social Networks, photographs and possibly basic drawing materials if required.
Idea 1
My first idea will involved the British book Where’s Wally. As many people know the whole point of these books is to the find Wally the main character. I will be reinventing this idea by taking photographers in busy area for example, Luton. I will then place a fellow student into the busy place and take a number of different photos creating a montage. I may possibly edit Wally’s face in keep the original idea visual. If that doesn’t work out well I will use just the student and change the title. This is just a rough idea as of this moment I will add more detail when I collect my other research. This will be my handmade book idea.
My first idea will be showing what the news is hiding my viewers nowadays. This could be controversial as everybody has their own views on the news so I will have to pick out my sources carefully and show what the they are hiding from my aspect. I will be picking out specific parts of newspapers that rarely appear on the front page which is wrong in my opinion; that is one of the reasons I am choosing this as my idea. I will be photographing pages from these newspapers showing what people are currently looking at whereas I will be showing people what is happening at the moment in time that the news and newspapers are missing and leaving in the middle pages or a few pages in where a big amount of us nowadays miss out. Collecting this images i will be creating a montage from this.
